Hacienda Yanahurco Adventure |
This program is designed for those that are willing to get a close encounter with nature and have a sense of adventure. The Yanahurco area is the largest Andean mountain Hacienda located in the eastern edge of the Cotopaxi National Park with 26.000 hectareas, aprox. 65.000 acres It is a private ecological mountain reserve which displays comfortable accommodations and delicious local and international cuisine. As private property safety is guarantee for guest. Refuge for endangered species such as the magnificent Andean Condor or the rare Spectacle bear.
This is "the place" in the Andes that offers the visitors all what they can ask to really know the Andean life style. Day 1
We will departure from Quito throughout what is called the Avenue of the Volcanos heading to the Cotopaxi National Park, in our way we will visit a *typical Indian Market to get a brief idea of the people and culture. We will continue surrounding the Cotopaxi volcano on dirt roads until arrive to our destination, views and landscapes promise to be unique. Welcome cocktail and guest accommodation, hacienda tour, lunch will be serve and free afternoon for acclimatization, optional light hikes in the area to discover wild life. Dinner and relax time by the fire place.
Day 2
Optional cow milking tour; breakfast and departure to a unique exotic site, with a microclimate association with dense forest, about a 45 m. high (149 feet) waterfall and mountain shelter. The Sebretana Waterfall is one of the loveliest sites of the Hacienda, campsite lunch. Return to the ranch house via the magnificent cliffs of Vicious Valley''s River, a site highly prized by photographers. At this site you can take pictures at the western edge of the vast Amazon Basin and the imposing river, which runs through mountains down to the tropical rain forest to finally flow in the Amazon. When the sky is clear, you can photograph Andean Condors, white-tailed deer, eagles, hawks, and moorland wolves. Return and dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast, drive to special sightseeing places. Optional fishing and other activities. Fare well lunch, We will return in the afternoon after experienced the Andes life style and had a good time. The return promise to be as excited as it was before.

On the Path to The Amazon |

Long time ago a group of brave Spanish conquerers and discoverers along with many indians, set course to where they deeply believed there was a city of gold and a country of cinnamon. They stared heading east in an incredible adventure to find this treasures.
After a long expedition no treasures were found but the Amazon River was discovered, amazing nature, animals, and the most exuberant rainforest. Now we invite you to come along to find this treasures going on the same path that long ago was undertaken by this expedition.
Day 1
This day we will departure from where the Spanish expedition began its journey to the Amazon. Here we will be able to get a better picture of the scenery, we will climb the eastern Andes range to an altitude of 12000 feet at its highest point and then start a descend to the rainforest. On our way we will find waterfalls, hot springs, rivers and little Indian villages. We will arrive to Punta Ahuano to take a canoe ride to CASA DEL SUIZO lodge.
Day 2
Different activities will be offered at the lodge such as hikings, expeditions, visits to animal reserves, and much more fun.
Day 3
We can relax or take a walk on primary and secondary forest trails, along which it is possible to observe distinct species of birds and insects as well as a great variety of trees and medicinal plants. On a small river island your guide will show you how to tie balsa logs, so those who wish can float down the Napo river for about an hour back to the lodge.
Day 4
We will departure from the rain forest up to the Andes remembering such a great time and a wonderful experience in the jungle. On our way to Quito we will stop at Papallacta hot springs to relax in its miracle water pool complex to regenerate our bodies.
